Welcome to the 1st Annual Bandit Bash hosted by the Boiling Springs Youth Wrestling Program. This year, our youth will be hosting a 5k Walk/Run and Pork BBQ fundraising event on Sunday, March 30th at Spring Meadows Park. Thank you for supporting our wrestlers while gathering with the community in a fun, energetic environment where family and friends can come together for some movement and fellowship together. We welcome first time 5K'ers!
Boiling Springs Community
The South Middleton Community includes the villages of Boiling Springs, Gardners, Mount Holly Springs, and the surrounding farms and developments. A suburban-rural area, the community is known for the historic town of Boiling Springs, outstanding fishing, the Appalachian Trail, and of course, its love of fitness and sports.
5K Through Spring Meadows Park
Please join us for our 1st Annual 5K Walk/Run throughout the gorgeous Spring Meadows Park. This 91.16 acre park is located in South Middleton Township on the outskirts of Boiling Springs. The Spring Meadows Trail is a loop trail with a stone surface that offers exercise stations along the way. The mostly level 3.1 mile course will follow the trail to South Middleton Park, loop around, and finish back at Spring Meadows Park. This will be a chip timed race, as well as each mile being marked along the way. Finish line festivities will be courtesy of HOOKE, HOOKE, & ECKMAN and the Boiling Springs Varsity Cheerleaders.
BS Youth Wrestling Club
The Youth Wrestling Program is a feeder program to the High School wrestling program consisting of participants (K-6) and their families. We are in our 43rd season and now consist of over 80 families! Wrestling is a competitive sport, but in the eyes of BSYWC, each child is always a winner. It is this clubs goal for each child to practice great sportsmanship, learn and master skills and techniques, and develop an understanding of this great sport. Thank you for your interest in the Boiling Springs Youth Wrestling Club!
Couch to 5K Program
Many beginner runners choose the 5K distance because it's an attainable goal. For some beginners, a 5K race is their first race ever. If you're new to running and not sure where to begin, here are a couple of 5K training programs to consider.
Pork BBQ Action!!
Lunch this year will be catered by Road Hawg Barbeque. Road Hawgs has been voted Central PA's Best Barbeque and offers delicious pulled pork lunch options for both adults and children. Stay and eat after your race or come to eat and cheer the crowds on. Meal tickets may be purchased directly from the site, at State Farm Office-Greg Lunde, or from any youth wrestling family.
